Absence

Illumination

Fear. That's how you fill the darkness. And fear begets fangs and claws and anger. But what is the absence of light? Merely the illumination of yourself. Behind closed eyes is darkness as well. Fear belongs to you, not the forest, not the alley, not the stranger. There are dark things in the world, but the darkest have no need of shadows.

  7. Nice work. The last sentence sums it up well- our minds can stir up more fear than any "thing" in this world.

  9. Also: if you're interested in getting more comments from Trifectans, you should consider turning off your Captcha word verification on your posts. Trifectans (this one included) detest the feature, as it doubles the amount of time it takes to leave a comment. Also, lots of comments get lost when the writer clicks away from the page, not realizing a word verification box has come up. Just a thought.
