My Trifextra Week Thirty-Three Contribution. Recently saw that an old friend was selling his guitar. I read between the line...
Here was the challenge.
The Rule of Three is a writing principle that asserts that, in writing, groups of three have the most impact. This week's challenge is to write 33 words using the Rule of Three somewhere among them. It is up to you to interpret the rule, just make sure to use exactly 33 words.
This weekend's challenge is community-judged.

- Voting is open to everyone. Encourage your friends to vote for you, if you wish, but please don't tell them to vote on a number. The numbering of the posts changes regularly, as authors have the ability to delete their own links at any time.

I like this. P.S. How much you want for it? :D
ReplyDeleteNice. Great use of the rule.
ReplyDeleteI like how your applied the rule of three, but I have to admit the last line got me down. The abandonment of a dream (or putting it up for adoption) is just sad.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe giving a dream to someone else is hopeful... just a thought...
Delete"My Acoustic Dream" sounds like a good title for something! I liked this :)
ReplyDeleteNice use of the Rule of Three. Btw, my Martin 000-28 is not for sale.
ReplyDeleteNice. Love the last line.
ReplyDeleteAcoustic dream - you should write the song. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThe last one cracked me up, only because my mom used to threaten to "sell us to the gypsies" when we were too "acoustic," as you so charmingly put it. I get that, the age... and I also can tell you would never DO same, but it makes for an entertaining Trifecta! Thanks so much. Amy Barlow Liberatore

I think we all do it, but it gets much easier when your perspective changes from personal loss to someone else's gain...
DeleteThinking about selling my guitar; love the idea of someone adopting my dreams of playing it more.
ReplyDeleteYou got the piece all right!
